TECHNICAL FAQs

Do you also overhaul forks from other manufacturers?

Yes. Following a technical inspection, we perform partial or complete overhauls on equipment from any manufacturer, not just ALAR.

How long does a typical telescopic fork overhaul take?

Approximately 4 weeks from the date of arrival at our workshop and final approval of the work order (subject to damage extent, component availability, and current workload).

What information is required for an initial technical assessment?

• Photos: Overall views plus close-ups of wear or damage. • Brand and model (if available). • Issue Description: Specific symptoms (e.g., excessive play, sliding friction, or mechanical failure). • Operating Context: Typical loads, duty cycles, and environmental conditions. • Documentation: Technical drawings and maintenance logs (if available).

What does the overhaul include? (Technical steps and final testing)

Full disassembly and a comprehensive inspection, replacement of worn components, precision restoration, and calibration. Each unit undergoes rigorous final testing to ensure reliability and peak performance—meeting the same standards as a new product. We offer two levels of service: Basic and Premium Overhaul.

Is an overhaul better than buying new?

In many cases, yes. It significantly reduces capital expenditure compared to purchasing new equipment while restoring your forks to peak operating performance. The cost-effectiveness is determined following a technical inspection and a detailed service proposal.

Have a technical requirement? Let’s discuss it.

Attach your drawings, photos, or part numbers, and we will help you identify the best path forward—whether it’s a new unit, an overhaul, or a replacement. Together, we will define the ideal solution and provide a detailed technical proposal.
