From the new stock to the revamping, from spare parts to custom machining: choose the path and send the technical data. You will be contacted by the manufacturer.
Revamping
Partial or complete overhauls of steering arms of any kind, even if not produced by ALAR. Restoration of performance with final checks and tests.
Technical data
- Brand/model (if known)
- Photo (side + wear details)
- Symptom/failure (game, scrolling)
- Urgency and plant shutdown
Spare parts and components
Vertical warehouse managed with industry 4.0.
Technical data
- Photo component + assembly context
- Code or model (if present)
- Quantity / replacement frequency
- Delivery country
Telescopic forks
Production of forks and components to customer design: complete forks and components, even complex ones, with the possibility of stocking parts subject to wear.
Technical data
- Load and run / configuration
- Obstructions
- Operating environment (temperature, dust, etc.)
- Drawing/STEP or specifications
Contract Machining
Third-party account on design: Milling up to 5 m, turning Diam. 350, processing of welded parts on rotary tables (7 t), prototypes and small series.
Technical data
- Drawing/STEP/PDF
- Material and treatments
- Critical tolerances
- Quantity and required times
Specialized Machinery & Custom Equipment
Turnkey special equipment and machinery: assembled and finished by in-house assemblers, with a project governed by customer specifications.
Technical data
- Machine objective and cycle
- Layout / line constraints
- Security
- Testing times and criteria
Technical process
The request starts from the data. The response is a technical assessment and an executable proposal in the workshop.
- Data collection: drawings, photos, specifications, plant constraints.
- Technical analysis: criticalities, materials, tolerances, worn/obsolete parts.
- Proposal: options (new / revamping / replacement) and scope of activities.
- Execution: production in process.
- Test and delivery: checks as per product standards.

TECHNICAL FAQs
What data is needed to quote a new oar lock?
Drawings/STEP or specifications, load and stroke, size constraints, usage environment. With these elements we define the proposal and test scope.
Do you also perform revamping on oarlocks that are not ALAR?
Yes. We carry out partial or complete overhauls at our premises on steering gears of any kind, even if not produced by us, after technical inspection.
What does the “complete” revamping include?
Disassembly and inspection, replacement of worn parts and cleaning, painting, assembly, testing.
Can you produce spare parts and specific components?
Yes: we produce components after survey internally and can keep parts with rapid wear in stock for an organized service.
What third-party machining operations can you handle internally?
Milling up to 5 m, turning up to diameter 260 mm x 1m, welding machining on rotary tables, prototypes and small series from drawings.
Do you handle treatments and finishes?
Where necessary, we can provide for heat treatments and more durable coatings over time, based on the environment of use and function using trusted external suppliers.
Have a technical requirement? Let’s discuss it.
Attach your drawings, photos, or part numbers, and we will help you identify the best path forward—whether it’s a new unit, an overhaul, or a replacement. Together, we will define the ideal solution and provide a detailed technical proposal.
